Why I Serve: Catherine Schott Murray

When we began serving clients almost 50 years ago, we made it a practice to forge strong ties with communities around us. Whether through volunteerism or philanthropy, OFP remains committed to leaving this world a bit better than we found it.

We congratulate Shareholder Catherine Schott Murray, newly named chairman of the board of directors for the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia. Since being named to CFNOVA’s board of directors in 2016, Catherine has served in a number of leadership roles within the organization, most recently as the board’s vice chair.

Why I Serve?

“I have chosen to volunteer with the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia because as someone who works with and represents members of our community, it is vital to understand the needs of the community.  CFNOVA has the breadth and depth of experience across the region to know where the needs lie and can help lead and convene the community to respond.”
