RESTON, April 8 — James “Jimmy” Pittleman, a founding member of Odin Feldman Pittleman, has been selected for induction into the Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame.
The Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame, launched in 2018 by Virginia Lawyers Weekly, recognizes lawyers aged 60 and over who have made lasting contributions to the practice of law in the Commonwealth. This year’s inductees will be honored at a ceremony at the John Marshall Ballrooms in Richmond on Friday, May 16.
Mr. Pittleman’s distinguished career spans over five decades and is defined by a deep commitment to helping clients solve complex problems and achieve personal and professional success. His legal practice, built on the foundation of trust, integrity, and service, has earned him enduring relationships with clients—some of whom have worked with him continuously since the 1970s.
A Certified Public Accountant with a robust background in finance, Mr. Pittleman’s early roles as a Revenue Agent and Tax Law Specialist with the Internal Revenue Service, followed by a successful tenure as an investment banker with Legg Mason, have given him a rare and valuable perspective. This dual expertise allows him to navigate intricate legal and financial matters with strategic precision.
His practice focuses on tax, corporate, securities, business and succession planning, and estate planning. He is particularly adept at guiding successful businesses and individuals through challenging ownership and family dynamics, helping them move from conflict to clarity.
