Catherine G. Hartmann

Catherine Hartmann joins OFP as an Associate following her graduation from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School in May 2025. At Mason Law, she was a member of the George Mason Law Review, graduated cum laude, and was awarded the Mason Law Scholarship. She was also an active member of the Women’s Law Association.

Before pursuing her J.D., Catherine built a strong academic foundation across multiple disciplines. She earned her M.A. in History of Art and Archaeology from New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts, where her thesis examined Renaissance legal emblems and their role in shaping early modern understandings of law. She also graduated cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, with a B.A. in Political Science.

Catherine’s professional experience reflects both analytical depth and organizational skill. She worked as a Course and Research Assistant at NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts, supporting scholarly work on Renaissance art and coordinating with curators at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Frick Collection. She has also managed client accounts in the private sector and oversees a successful property rental business.
