Sally Ann Hostetler, Shareholder


Sally Hostetler is tenacious in protecting her client’s interests, and uses her thorough knowledge of the legal system and superb legal analysis to collaboratively develop a plan with her clients to achieve their goals.

Sally is well versed in federal, state and multi-jurisdictional disputes (including class actions) where she has vast experience working with a variety of business disputes. Many cases call for her to assemble a team of legal professionals to most efficiently and effectively resolve the client’s litigation demands. She focuses her practice on trials, appeals, and arbitration, and has served as a court-appointed arbitrator in federal securities cases.

Sally’s clients include public and private entities. Her commercial litigation experience ranges from litigating business controversies, construction disputes, and securities claims to the funding and formation of start-up companies, minority shareholder litigation, and bankruptcy non-dischargeability matters. She also has litigated contract claims, antitrust claims, partnership issues, trade secret matters, qui tam (whistleblower) cases, land use and condemnation matters, employment and compensation disputes, as well as numerous cases involving fraud, breach of fiduciary duty to a trust, and other business tort allegations.

Additionally, Sally has represented local governments in litigation regarding contracts, construction and land use issues, as well as regulatory compliance matters and bonds issues.

Sally has received an AV rating, the highest rating given by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ for her legal ability and general ethical standards. She has also been named one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine eight times.
