Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, PC, a full-service law firm in Reston, VA, is seeking a bright, dynamic, self-starting corporate law paralegal with at least 2 years of experience working as a paralegal in a corporate law practice or a related practice area. Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a propensity for software and technology based projects. You will have significant client contact, so professional communication skills are critical.
The candidate will need experience and comfort navigating online filings and databases as well as other software or technology based programs necessary in the day-to-day operations of our firm’s corporate department. Exceptional candidates will have experience drafting entity formation documents and other documentation related to corporate governance. Examples of typical job duties include preparing and filing documents with the state corporation commissions, preparing and filing applications for federal tax ID numbers, assisting attorneys with management and organization of due diligence and closing checklist documentation in sale/acquisition transactions, preparing closing binders following closing of such a transaction, and ongoing management of general corporate records for our firm’s extensive list of corporate clients, including annual filings.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, and a paralegal degree/certificate is preferred, but not a requirement.
