As a shareholder with the firm’s Litigation practice group, Mr. Gutkowski’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and civil litigation. Mr. Gutkowski has a varied practice that has allowed him to handle sophisticated matters in state and federal courts in multiple jurisdictions. While Mr. Gutkowski's practice focuses on commercial litigation, he also has represented clients in commercial landlord-tenant litigation, real estate litigation, tort actions, labor and employment matters, estate litigation, business litigation, local government litigation and disputes between property owners and their respective homeowners' association.
Mr. Gutkowski was named among Virginia Business magazine's "Legal Elite" in 2010. His inclusion on this list means that he is among those lawyers recognized by his peers as the best in Virginia.
Mr. Gutkowski received a degree in finance from Boston College and his law degree from George Mason University School of Law. While at George Mason, Mr. Gutkowski participated in the Moot Court Board. He was also an Associate Editor of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal, a Writing Fellow and a student member of the George Mason American Inns of Court.

Notable Cases
- Obtained dismissal of a $2.5 million dollar claim against a local county and the county’s Service Authority relating to a commercial developer’s construction of a waste water treatment facility.
- Successfully petitioned the Supreme Court of Virginia to hear dispute between property owner and homeowners’ association with regards to the applicability of an arbitration provision to the dispute.
