Ellen Farrell Sharpe is a principal with the firm and is a member of the Real Estate & Land Use practice group. Ellen's practice encompasses all areas of commercial real estate, including representing buyers and sellers in the acquisition, sale and financing of raw and improved commercial property, representing both landlords and tenants in office, industrial, retail and ground leasing, and representing both lenders and borrowers in real estate finance transactions. Ellen's practice also focuses on development law, including the creation and administration of condominiums, mixed-use projects, shopping centers and planned unit developments.
With regard to the disposition and financing of commercial property, Ellen has worked with property owners and investors, trade and non-profit associations, homebuilders, office and retail developers, lenders and all types of businesses in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Ellen’s extensive experience in commercial leasing has included the representation of owners and managers of office buildings, industrial parks and shopping centers, and the negotiation of ground leases for retail stores, office buildings, condominiums, golf courses, and corporate headquarters, as well as representing all levels of business tenants.
Ellen was recognized among Virginia’s 2008 ‘Legal Elite’ in Virginia Business magazine, and is a LEED accredited Green Associate.
