Jim Reynolds is a principal with the firm and a member of the Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights practice group. Prior to joining the firm in 1992, he served as a law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia - Norfolk Division.
Mr. Reynolds’ practice involves the representation of debtors, creditors and creditors’ committees throughout all phases of the bankruptcy process and includes the representation of trustees in bankruptcy. Additionally, he regularly advises clients with regard to secured transactions and the Uniform Commercial Code. In 2007, Washington SmartCEO magazine named Mr. Reynolds as one of its Legal Elite for Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights. In 2007, 2008 and 2009, Mr. Reynolds was named among Virginia's "Legal Elite" according to Virginia Business magazine. His inclusion on this list means that he is among those lawyers recognized by his peers as the best in Virginia. He was also designated as a Virginia Super Lawyer in 2009.
