Steve Shannon is a principal of the firm and a member of the firm's Litigation practice group. He has been recognized by his peers as one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite” in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012 in Virginia Business magazine. Mr. Shannon’s practice focuses on civil litigation, criminal litigation, and administrative law.

Mr. Shannon's extensive litigation practice includes the representation of individuals and corporate entities in contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, real estate disputes, as well as the enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. Mr. Shannon's practice, in addition to regularly appearing in the Virginia circuit courts and general district courts, includes complex white collar litigation on matters involving the U.S. Department of Justice.

An active public servant, Mr. Shannon served for three terms in the Virginia General Assembly where he was a member of the House Committee on Appropriations, the House Education Committee, and the House Committee on Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Chesapeake Bay.
