Leslye Fenton is a principal in the firm with more than 16 years of experience. Ms. Fenton concentrates her practice on Family Law issues involving equitable distribution of property, child and spousal support, visitation and a variety of other issues affecting children and families. She is a frequent speaker on family law issues at The Women’s Center and other organizations. Ms. Fenton is also experienced in the area of dispute resolution and is certified by the Supreme Court of Virginia as a mediator. She uses mediation as an alternative to adjudicating family law matters. In addition, Ms. Fenton also handles real estate matters, primarily commercial leasing. She has extensive knowledge and experience representing both landlords and tenants in negotiating and drafting commercial leases of shopping centers, office buildings, business parks, warehouses and unimproved land. In 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, she was designated as a Virginia Super Lawyer in the Family Law section, and in 2007, 2008 and 2009 she was designated as a Washington, D.C. Super Lawyer in the same section. She was also recognized among Virginia's 2008 'Legal Elite' in Virginia Business magazine, and most recently was included in the Best Lawyers in America 2010 list published in the Best Lawyers publication.
