Fairfax, Virginia Law Firm Elevates Five Attorneys

Fairfax, VA, June 22, 2012 - Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, P.C. is pleased to announce that the following attorneys have become shareholders of the firm:

Amber K. Burke: A member of the Real Estate and Land Use group, Ms. Burke regularly handles a variety of real estate transactions including acquisition, sale, and financing of raw and improved land; commercial and industrial leases; and land use, zoning and development matters for local and national builders, developers, and churches throughout Northern Virginia.

Pamela M. Buskirk: A member of the Trust, Estate & Tax Planning group, Ms. Buskirk is also a certified public accountant. Her practice focuses on estate planning; estate and trust administration; and gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax planning for individuals and closely-held businesses.

Stephen A. Cobb: A member of the Litigation group, Mr. Cobb is a former law clerk at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and is an active member of the Federal Bar Association. His practice focuses on general civil litigation, representing corporations and individuals in state and federal courts across the country.

Lauren M. Piana: A member of the Labor & Employment group, Ms. Piana’s practice focuses on the representation of management in employment disputes, advising employers on proper pay practices, including guidance under the Virginia Wage Payment Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act; risk management; Title VII; American with Disabilities Act compliance; ADEA; and GINA.

Catherine F. Schott Murray: A member of the Trust, Estate and Tax Planning and Corporate, Securities, Tax & Finance practice groups, Ms. Schott Murray works with both individual and businesses. Her trust and estate planning practice focuses on advising clients on the creation and implementation of complex estate and tax plans; estate and trust administration; elder law issues; guardianships and conservatorships; and special needs planning. Her corporate practice involves advising clients on entity formation and maintenance, and satisfying a variety of corporate legal needs.
